Today the world is turning into a monkey see monkey do society. There a lot of causes of this such as, video games being played, the things people see on TV or actually see in person. It’s actually getting more dangerous. With the media promoting more and more on what’s happening in violence. And no justice is being done about it; it’s letting the young youth have permission towards exactly what they’re doing. Which isn’t a good sign. The Clinton Scandal Over the past month's our president William Jefferson Clinton has been under fire over his personal affairs with a young intern. Eventually in court he lied under oath about ever having a sexual relations with the twenty-one year old intern Monica Lewinsky. He also came out on national television and said he didn't do it, which really added up. Polls show that the presidential ratings are higher than ever. Many Americans believe that Clinton is doing a good job. His current ratings are about 65% so most likely the president will not be removed from office. They still believe that he did a wrongdoing but they seemed to forgive him because that's his personal life and out country/economy is at a great high. Also some of the ratings come from his great speeches. This is a quote from Tom Brookaw a respected journalist on NBC, "It seems every time Bill comes out to addresses us he delivers block buster speeches". In which these speeches motivate people and people believe him because most of everything he says he does. Another thing Bill Clinton did was balance the budget. By year 2000 we will have a surplus in money from billions may be even trillions of dollars. With all this extra money we could put some good use to it. We should be careful not to waste the dough on stupid things. Most of the extra bills will go towards saving social security. So when we need it, it will be there when we retire some day. Many people were worrying that it might run out one day but now we don't have to fret. Still some Americans believe that our president should be removed from the White House. They know that he had a sexual affair and that he abused his powers to cover-up what he did. Some believe he had other affairs as well. It really isn't anyone's business what he does with his personal life, as long as our country is doing well. He also lied under oath trying to cover-up his scandal. Too me that's what I would do under all that pressure. You wouldn't want people to know about that stuff. We never really hear about all the people (Republicans, Judiciary comity, etc) who don't like Clinton because at one point in their lives they most likely had an affair too. For instance the ex-speaker of the house Bob Livingston came out and announced his affair. Only the smart ones who decide not to mess around are the ones who have to worry about anything. Overall the president William Jefferson Clinton to me is doing a really good job. Our economy/country is higher than ever. Un-employment is at an all time low. We all know he did some thing wrong but that is his personal life and is none of our business. It's too bad that Bill has to go down as the second president to be impeached and all the food things that he did will be forgotten. But he choose to do what he did and that was his fault.

I hope this short series of resume tips will decrease the appearance of these words on resumes throughout the job-hunting market. Words to delete from your resume: Various, variety, etc. 1. Various (or â€Å"a variety of†). Compare: a. Performed legal research and wrote memoranda and briefs on various civil procedural and substantive issues. b. Performed legal research and wrote memoranda and briefs on civil procedural and substantive issues, including unconscionability, issue preclusion and equitable estoppel. Version a. leaves us with nothing to grab on to. The candidate in version b. sounds a lot more interesting doesn’t she? The trick is to list the actual things that constitute the variety. Variety on its own doesnt tell us much. I acknowledge that there might be exceptions to this rule. Sometimes it does work to use the word â€Å"various† or â€Å"variety.† My recommendation is to take it out and see if the bullet works better. It probably will. Please report back what you discover. 2. Etc. â€Å"Etc.† is just a variation on various. Example: a. Managed, developed, and supervised programmatic activities that reduce recidivism through individual counseling, mentoring, family supportive counseling, girls empowerment groups, life skills classes, leadership workshops, etc. This list is long enough. What could possibly be added by adding â€Å"etc.† to the end of it? It just leaves the reader hanging. Make your list, put an â€Å"and’ before the last item, and add to it in your interview if necessary. The nose can also fill with mucus that can exit the body to get rid of any pathogens that might enter the nostrils. The eyes have eye lashes that can wave away pathogen’s when a person blinks. The average person blinks about 16 times a minute. That is typically enough to keep out pathogens floating in the nearby air. Another type of white blood cell that can kill off pathogens or infected cells are NK cells, or natural killer cells. These NK cells will discharge chemicals that kill infected cells. The body has another natural defense, which are defensive proteins. When a virus is successful in infecting a cell, the cell may release interferon molecules. These interferon molecules bind themselves to nearby healthy cells. The binding of interferon molecules to healthy cells prompts the healthy cell to produce antiviral proteins. Other natural defensive proteins that our immune system creates are complement proteins, which attack pathogens directly. (Simon, 2012, p. 519) The lymphatic system is a system of vessels and many lymph nodes that are crammed within white blood cells. Other lymphatic system organs include the tonsils, thymus, and the spleen. â€Å"The two main functions of the lymphatic system are to return tissue fluid to the circulatory system and to fight infection.† (Simon, 2012, p. 520) The lymphatic system works in conjunction with the circulatory system. For example, when someone gets a paper cut from a dollar bill, the dollar bill introduces bacteria into and under the skin. The first line of defense has already been penetrated. The lymphatic system will pick up on chemical signals that the skin has been torn, then send white blood cells via the arteries of the circulatory system to the paper cut site. The white blood cells will engulf the bacteria and cell debris, allowing the tissue to heal. If all the above fail to keep the body healthy, there is also a third line of defense, called adaptive defenses. â€Å"Adaptive defenses depend on white blood cells called lymphocytes that recognize and respond to specific invading pathogens.† (Simon, 2012, p. 521) These lymphocytes blood cells are triggered only after exposure to specific pathogens. The innate defenses are constantly prepared to combat a variation of infections, but lymphocytes must be primed by exposure to a foreign molecule. Any molecule that elicits a response from a lymphocyte is called an antigen. (Simon, 2012, p. 521). There are two types of lymphocytes cells, the first one is called the B-cell, and the second one is called the T-cell. One very interesting thing about this cells is how they develop. Both B-cells and T-cells form within bone marrow. The B-cells grow to maturity in the bone marrow, but the T-cells start in the bone marrow and are transported via blood to the thymus to finish growing to maturity. Paul A.
